There's been a subtle change over the past five or so years


The latest movies tend to not have a bad guy at all. Not sure why -- maybe they felt like a holiday movie shouldn't have a bad guy in it? But now it's more just a straight "will they or won't they, oh of COURSE they will" plot that includes some "major misunderstanding" a la Three's Company that puts things into doubt for a split second before Love Finds A Way.

Yeah, I still can't stop watching 'em for some reason. I've made it an item on my Bucket List to be an extra in one of these before I die.
